Supercross Round 1: Anaheim, CA

The 2019 Monster Energy AMA World Supercross Championship came roaring into Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California for round one this Saturday. With a fresh look, fresh athletes and new partners, The TXS Supercross Team came into the charging into the event full steam! Spanish native, Joan Cros #348, would pilot a KX250F in the 250sx class while Scotty Wennerstrom and Bubba Pauli would pilot their KX450’s in the 450sx class. All three riders would show flashes of brilliance throughout the first round. Cros finished out the qualifying sessions in the 28th position, while the rain started to fall on during their final qualifying session, the 450 athletes finish 37th (Pauli) and 46th (Wennerstrom.) 


    After the qualifying sessions were complete tens of thousands of fans roamed the pits and interacted with the teams displays and athletes. 


    Just prior to the start of the evening race program the sky’s began to open up once again. Cros would compete in 250sx heat 1 while Pauli would compete in 450sx heat 2. Although neither rider would advance to the final main event of the night, both athletes were very competitive and are determined to better their results next round. 


    Cros, Wennerstrom and Pauli will be hard at work this week to be even more prepared for Round 2 in Phoenix, Arizona in just 6 days time!
